Jelling Mounds, Denmark - UNESCO World Heritage Site

Place: Jelling Mounds, Denmark

Weather: Steady light rain, 60/72F.

Route: From Christiansfeld 54 km north on E45 and Route 176.

Significance: The mounds are burial grounds for the first Kings of Denmark (Gorm and Harold). There are also stone ruins that show the change of Denmark from pagan to christian symbols in the 10th century.
