Great Zimbabwe National Monument, Zimbabwe - UNESCO World Heritage Site

Significance: The Bantu capital of Zimbabwe was one of the greatest kingdoms in sub-saharan Africa. Its height was from the 11th to 15th centuries.  "Zimbabwe" means houses of stone.
