Jam, Afghanistan - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Jam, Afghanistan

Weather: Mainly sunny, 51/86F.

Route: From Nisa 972 km SE.

Significance: The main architectural structure remaining is a 65 meter high minaret that was built in the 12th century.  There are also ruins of castles and towers in the area. The minaret is in danger of collapsing from erosion, some blocks even fell in a recent earthquake.
