Pasargadae, Iran - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Pasargadae, Iran

Route: From Yazd 315 km SSW on 78 and 65.

Significance: Founded by Cyrus II the Great in the 6th century BC, it was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire. The tomb of Cyrus is still standing.
