Tchogha Zanbil, Iran - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Tchogha Zanbil, Iran

Route: From Susa 42 km SE on route 37.

Significance: Founded in 1250 BC as a religious center for the Elamites. There are remains of a large ziggurat there.
