Abbey of Corvey, Germany - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Abbey of Corvey, Germany

Weather: Cloudy with showers, 52/66F.

Route: From Wittenberg 284 km west on A36.

Significance: Many of the "old" churches and abbeys in Europe are from the 12th and 13th century. This abbey was built in the 9th century, the beautiful westwork is the original to that (the Carolingnian) era.
