Significance: The rock shelters of Bhimbetka have cave paintings from as long as 10,000 years ago. The paintings continued to be a tradition of the local people up until quite recently. The paintings represent similar themes to those found all over the world from the same period - such as animals, people dancing, and the hunt.Website: UNESCO World Heritage Site
