Kerkuane, Tunisia - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Kerkuane, Tunisia

Weather: Cloudy with showers, 49/59F.

Route: From Tunis 124 km NW on C26.

Significance: Kerkuane is a Phoenician town that was abandoned rather than destroyed by the Romans.  Therefore it shows a unadulterated example of what a Phoenician town was like - including a large necropolis.
