Hoi An, Vietnam - UNESCO World Heritage Site

Significance: Hoi An was a major trading post from the 15th to 19th centuries. Both Japanese and Chinese traders frequented the town.  The symbol of the town is the "Japanese Bridge" - originally built by the Japanese in the 17th century and then rebuilt by the Chinese in the 19th and 20th centuries.
