Namhansanseong, South Korea - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Namhansanseong, South Korea

Weather: Mainly sunny, 52/79F.

Route: From Seoul 30km on easter arterial road.

Significance: South Korea has been invaded by both China and Japan over the centuries. This large complex was used by the Joseon Dynasty as a defensive capital during these invasions. Most of the fortifications are from the 17th century. The palace was defended by Buddhist monk soldiers.
