Xanadu, China - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Site of Xanadu, China 

Weather: Partly cloudy in the morning, then cloudy and windy, 41/63F.

Route: From Chengde 593 km NNW on G45 and G16.

Significance: The site of the famous Xanadu, capital of the great 13th century Mongol ruler Kulai Khan. His huge kingdom across Asia helped to spread Tibetan Buddhism.
