Los Alerces National Park, Argentina - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Los Alerces National Park, Argentina

Route: From Chiloe Archipelago 636 km east on north Ruta 5 and south RN 40.

Significance: The park is located in the southern Andes in northern Patagonia. The terrain is marked by glacial activity. The Alerce tree is the second longest living tree in the world - it can live more than 3600 years.
