Route: We're entering a new phase of our trip - a Caribbean cruise. Curacao is about 40 miles north of the Venezuelan coast.
Significance: Curacao was colonized by the Dutch in 1634 and is still a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. There are many buildings from the 17th-19th centuries, from Dutch, Spanish, and Portuguese architecture styles on the island.Website: UNESCO World Heritage Site
