Petra, Jordan - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Petra, Jordan

Weather: Mainly sunny, 49/71F.

Route: From Um er-Rasas 184 km south on Route 15 and Route 45M.

Significance: There has been a settlement here since 7,000 BC. The city's height was the 4th-1st centuries BC, when it was a trading city between Arabia and the Mediterranean.  It was the capitol city of the Nabataeans before eventually being taken over by the Romans.
