One Place Memphis, TN: National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel

If I could only visit one place in Memphis, it would be the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel.
I went here a few years ago.  Its power is that it takes the emotional event of the assassination of Martin Luther King and expands on it to the overall African American experience in the United States - especially in relationship to the civil rights movement.

Here is an academy award nominated documentary about Dr. King's time in Memphis leading up to his murder - The Witness: From the Balcony of Room 306. Tomorrow, April 4th, is the 52nd Anniversary of Dr. King's death.
