Chichen-Itza, Mexico - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Chichen-Itza, Mexico

Weather: Mostly cloudy in the morning with scattered thunderstorms later in the day, 73/91F.

Route: From Merida 123 km east on 180 E

Significance: Chichen-Itza is one of the best known and best preserved Mayan ruins. People lived here for over a thousand years. It was even the home to multiple civilizations - first the Maya and then the Toltec.
