Uxmal, Mexico - UNESCO World Heritage Site

 Place: Uxmal Pre-Columbian Maya City

Route: From Campeche 158 km NE on 180 E.

Significance: Its height was from the 8th-10th centuries - a prime example of late Maya architecture. The main ceremonial buildings are dedicated to the rain god. Its highest population was 20,000 people.
